Kevin Jarbo

Dr. Kevin Jarbo is currently a President’s Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Social and Decision Sciences at Carnegie Mellon University and will be joining its faculty in Fall 2021. Kevin’s prior research focused on developing MRI techniques for neurosurgical planning and studying the effects of traumatic brain injury on brain connectivity and function. His current work examines how social norms and interpersonal interactions impact help-seeking decisions for students with racial and gender identities that have been historically underrepresented, marginalized, and minoritized in the US education system.

Jenesis Gayden

Jenesis is a PhD student in the Center for Neuroscience at the University of Pittsburgh. She is interested in researching the molecular mechanisms underlying opioid addiction. As someone who deals with mental illness herself, raising awareness, having candid conversations, and reducing stigma surrounding mental health is something that she is very passionate about. As a fan of all things music and art, MINDSCAPES PGH is an event she is happy to be a part of.
